In the recent chapter, we got introduced to “Germa 66” (the name of the Vinsmoke organization)…
The number 66 could represent that the group has 66 assassins.
My good friend and editor +Nayan Jai also thought of an idea for the meaning of Germa 66. In the mangastream translation, there is a note at the bottom that states Germa 66 is pronounced as “Double-Six.” My editor gave me the idea that Sanji’s eyebrows are double sixes
They really do look like two sixes. Therefore, maybe every vinsmoke assassin has these same eyebrows? It would certainly explain the meaning of Germa 66.
This could be how Sanji was recognized from his wanted poster. But then why doesn’t Sanji just uncurl his eyebrows?
And why do the Vismoke’s curl their eyebrows like this? What is the meaning of it?
I’ve mentioned before that Sanji’s eyebrows represent the golden spiral of perfection. Perhaps the Vinsmoke organization is very into the occult.
Even Oda mentions, in this panel above, that Sanji’s eyebrows are connected to circular energy. Oda even states that if the earth stopped spinning, the planet would be covered in Tidal Waves, as if to connect it to Sanji. This implies that something similar would happen if Sanji stopped curling his eyebrows.
Something very devasting would happen if Sanji stopped curling his eyebrows. Perhaps the uncurling of the eyebrows would turn Sanji into a cold killer, just like one of the Vinsmoke killers? Maybe the eyebrows are a way of keeping him tame? Or a way of keeping his energy grounded?
The eyebrows could be a way for the Vinsmoke’s to control their murderous nature. It sounds crazy, I know, but why else would Oda imply that something devastating would happen if Sanji stopped curling his eyebrows?
Also, one could assume that the Vinsmoke’s uncurl their eyebrows to let loose their murderous nature.
One day we could even see Sanji uncurl his eyebrows to see his own murderous nature. A nature that lies within his bloodline. Maybe this is Sanji’s true nature? We will find out soon.
